U.S. Nutrition Facts Panels

To view a Nutrition Facts panel for any Recipe, click the View Label button under the Recipe tab on the Ribbon to bring up the default label. Under Edit Label you can then choose one of the following label types to view. 

 

Other Options:

Under the label’s “Nutrition Facts” panel, manufacturers are required to provide information on certain nutrients. The mandatory (underlined) and voluntary components for the new 2016 label format, and the order in which they must appear are: 

 

  • Calories

  • Calories from Saturated Fat

  • Total Fat

  • Saturated Fat

  • Trans Fat

  • Polyunsaturated Fat

  • Monounsaturated Fat

  • Cholesterol

  • Sodium

  • Fluoride

  • Total Carbohydrate

  • Dietary Fiber

  • Soluble Fiber

  • Insoluble Fiber

  • Total Sugars

  • Added Sugars

  • Sugar Alcohol

  • Other Carbohydrate

  • Protein

  • Vitamin D

  • Calcium

  • Iron

  • Potassium

  • Vitamin A

  • Vitamin C

  • Vitamin E

  • Vitamin K

  • Thiamin

  • Riboflavin

  • Niacin

  • Vitamin B6

  • Folate/Folic Acid

  • Biotin

  • Pantothenic Acid

  • Phosphorus

  • Iodine

  • Magnesium

  • Zinc

  • Selenium

  • Copper

  • Manganese

  • Chromium

  • Molybdenum

  • Chloride

  • Choline

If a claim is made about any of the voluntary components, or if a food is fortified or enriched with any of them, nutrition information for these components becomes mandatory. These mandatory and voluntary components are the only ones allowed on the Nutrition Facts panel. All nutrients must be declared as percentages of the Daily Values that are label reference values.
