Recipe Export Options

You have a variety of options for sharing your Recipes and their ingredients and/or analyses from the Recipe ribbon.

Recipe Analysis

This exports the Recipe's analysis as a text file, which shows the values of the items listed (name, weight, date created, nutrients, etc.)

  1. Click Recipe Analysis

  2. Type a name in the File Name field.

  3. Select a destination.

  4. Click Save

It can be easily imported into Excel or other programs.

Recipe File

This will export your Recipe document as an ESHA (.exl) file to be shared with other ESHA program users. It can be imported into another Genesis R&D program.

  1. Click Recipe File

  2. Type a name in the File Name field.

  3. Select a destination.

  4. Click Save.

The .exl file can be easily shared with other ESHA programs. 

Export as Ingredient

  1. Click As Ingredient

  2. Type a name in the File Name field.

  3. Enter quantity and measure

  4. Select a destination.

  5. Click Save.

This lets you share your Recipe and its analysis with others without revealing the individual ingredients. This can be imported into another ESHA program.

Label Report

A Label can be exported as an image file for modification in other programs. When exporting, select To File to save the Label for use later  (importing into a document, opening in a graphics program, etc.), and select To Clipboard to immediately paste it into a word processing document (MS Word, etc).

Export a Label as an Image to File

  1. With your Label open, click Label Report

  2. Select As Image>To File.

  3. Browse to choose where to save the file.

  4. Select File type.

  5. Click OK.

Export a Label as an Image to the Clipboard

  1. With your Label open, click Label Report

  2. Select As Image>To Clipboard.

  3. Open a document in another program.

  4. Go to Edit>Paste in that program.

Export a Label as Text to File

  1. With your Label open, click Label Report

  2. Select As Text>To File.

  3. Browse to where you want to save the file.

  4. Click Save. It will be saved as a .txt file.

You can open this in any text editor. The data will be presented in tab-delimited text, with each line corresponding to a line in the label, like this:

  1. With your Label open, click Label Report

  2. Select As Text>To Clipboard.

  3. Open a document in another program.

  4. Go to Edit>Paste in that program.

Report Sections

You can choose to report any or all sections of your Recipe (Recipe information, Nutrients, Groups, Notes, etc.) and related reports (Spreadsheet, Multi-Column, etc.) here.

  1. With your Label open, click Report Sections.

  2. Check the box for any section you want to include.

  3. Choose Single Text File or Clipboard. The Recipe sections will be exported as a .txt file.

  4. Click Save. If you chose Clipboard, open and paste into a new document.
