Ingredient Options for Calcium (Tabular Label)
- Click the S button to show/not show the nutrient on the label.
- Click the B button to report the nutrient name in bold.
- Click the I button to report the nutrient name in italics.
- Note: Changes made here will not affect the other label templates for the same formula.
- The nutrient amount from the Formula screen is listed. This amount can be overwritten here.
- The unit entered from the Formula screen is entered here. The unit can be changed for ingredients or components that are not governed by the labeling regulations. In this example, Calcium must be listed on the label in milligrams, so the unit cannot be changed.
- The rounding rule, according to the labeling regulations, is applied to the nutrient amount by default. Uncheck the box to have the amount listed without applying the rounding rule. NLEA nutrients that round to zero percent of the Daily Value will not be reported on the label by default. If you are making a claim, such as Calorie Free, you may want to add a nutrient that rounds to zero back to the label. This can be done by checking the box next to the nutrient name in the Dietary Nutrients section of the ribbon.
- In this example, the Calcium comes from Calcium Carbonate, which is an inactive ingredient. The amount of Calcium, 9 mg per serving, rounds to zero percent Daily Value and so is not reported on the label by default.Â
