Creating a New Supplement Facts Label
The tabular label will be displayed by default. Another template can be selected from the New Label menu.
- When working with an existing Formula you will have the option to open an existing label (Open Label) or create a new label (New Label).
- When working with a brand-new Formula you will first need to select a label template.
To create a new Supplement Facts Label
Select Label Template. NOTE: Once any change is made to the template, the program will provide a field above the serving size options for entering a label name. The default name, New Label, can be overwritten, or left as is. Example: Green Tea Plus Tabular - Adult.
Enter Serving Size: Check the desired serving size boxes from the options presented. The label display will reflect the chosen boxes
Modify Header: Click on the Header arrow and select the desired nutritional standards and formatting options.
Serving Size:
The label displays the serving size that was entered on the formula screen. You can modify what is shown by checking or unchecking the available options:
Include weight in serving size – Unchecking will hide weight (usually gram weight in parenthesis)
Include prepared serving size – If entered, this will appear on the label.
Include Servings Per Container – If entered, this will appear on the label.
Use abbreviated measure in Serving Size – Check this to show ea instead of each, etc.
Override the formula serving size – What automatically appears on the label is determined by what was entered on the Formula page. You can override any of those here.
NOTE: Changes made here will not affect the other label templates for the same formula.
Header:
Show amount in its own column – Unchecked will show amount next to the ingredient.
Show amount header in its own column – Unchecked will put header over ingredient column.
Use Amount Per Serving – Unchecked will show “Amount per Each”.
Amt. Column Justification - left, right, or center.
%DV Column Justification - left, right, or center.
NOTE: Changes made here will not affect the other label templates for the same formula.
