The Ribbon

In Genesis R&D 11.0 we introduced the Ribbon as the primary navigation in Genesis R&D, these pages go over the basics of how to use the ribbon and its features.

Ribbons

Each function of Genesis can be accessed on one of the available ribbons. File, Home, Edit, View, and Database will be shown regardless of what type of document you have open. When you open a document (Recipe, Ingredient, Menu Label, Composite Ingredient, or Advanced Label), its ribbon will also be available.

The tabs and ribbon functions can be selected by using your mouse and from the keyboard:

• • Press Alt + the first letter in the name of the menu items.
  • Press the F10 key and use the arrow keys on your keyboard to navigate

When a button is gray, the function is not available. If all buttons are grayed out please contact ESHA support to troubleshoot.
