Herbal Sources Options

Options > Herbal Sources

Open

The program is pre-populated with some herbal sources that you can add to botanical ingredients and/or formulas. Additional herbal sources can be added to the program through this option.

Add an Herbal Source 

1. Go to Options > Herbal Sources. You will see a list of existing items.

2. Select the Add link at the top or right-click and choose Add

3. Type in the name of the herbal source and press Enter on your keyboard. When you next open this dialog, your user-added herbal source will appear in this list. 

Delete an Herbal Source 

1. Go to Options > Herbal Sources

2. Right-click on the Herbal Source and select Delete.

3. Click OK

Modify an Herbal Source  

1. Go to Options > Herbal Sources

2. Right-click on the user-added Herbal Source and select Modify.

3. Click OK.

Add an Herbal Source from an Ingredient or Formula

1. With an Ingredient or a Formula open, expand Herbal Properties on the right-hand Ingredient tab.

2. Click the Source field. This opens a text box/drop-down menu.

3. Start typing the name of the herbal source you want to create. (Note: If an herbal source with the same name already exists, you will see it in the menu.)

4. If the herbal source does not yet exist, finish typing the name for the herbal source you want to create and press Enter/Return on your keyboard.

5. The Herbal Source you created will now appear under Herbal Properties.
