Allergens

The program is pre-populated with top 8 US food allergens and their specific species of fish, shell-fish, and tree nuts. User-added allergens can be added to the program from the Options menu.

Create an allergen statement

1. Navigate to the Allergens tab on the Ingredient screen
2. Start typing the allergen name, and select it by clicking on the name when you see it in the search results. Selected allergens will be listed underneath the search box in blue. Click the "x" to the right of the name to remove the allergen from the list. 
   
   
   NOTE: Press the ESC key to abort a search.
   
   
3. The Default Statement box lists the allergen statement created by the program. The Custom Statement allows various formatting options for customizing the allergen statement.

Clear Default Allergens

This option from the ribbon removes all assigned allergens.

Copy Default to Custom

This option from the ribbon causes the default statement to copy (or overwrite) into the custom statement.  

Select Default or Custom

This option from the ribbon tells the program which ingredient statement to display in the side panel and select for the Ingredient Report.
