Data Import Template

Importing data: Info below describes how to fill out ESHA’s Excel Genesis Import Template (attached above), and then import data into your Genesis R&D Foods Program thru ESHA Port.
- Download and use the attached Excel Document for use in importing.
Import Process:
- Fill out the ingredient information into rows with corresponding nutrient data and fields.
- Before you can import data into Genesis, you will need to save this file from Excel using Save As and selecting Tab Delimited File (TXT).
- To get the data into the Genesis R&D Foods program:
- Open ESHA Port
- Click Import
- Select ESHA Ingredient Import Template - US Standard
- It will give you an error saying you need to select a different file
- Choose your TXT File you created and saved from the Template Above
- Click Execute to Import
- When it’s finished importing, you will be able to view and edit these imported ingredients from the Open → Ingredient screen within Genesis.
The Template has all the basics you need to import your ingredients, you can add/edit the template to fit your needs (you will need to edit the epf or create your own epf when importing an edited file, you will select this new template in step 3 above.)
