Database Menu

The Database menu is where you can do the following:
Export all supplement Formulas and Ingredients from the current database into an EXLX (ESHA) file.
Import EXL (Genesis R&D Foods) files, EXLX (Genesis R&D Supplements) files or other Ingredient and Formula data from your spreadsheets (TXT, CSV, XLS or XLSX files).
Reindex the full-text search with data from the current database, which could include data entered by other users
View Statistics on how many records you have created and saved.
Export
Click Export to export all supplement Formulas and Ingredients from the current database into an EXLX file. Choose the location for the saved file when prompted. Exported files may be used as a backup, or may be shared with another computer running the software.Â
Import
Click on Import to import items into the current program from Genesis Food (EXL), from Genesis Supplements (EXLX), or from a tab-delimited text file (TXT), a comma-separated value file (CSV) or from an Excel spreadsheet (XLS) or (XLSX).Â
Importing directly from an xls, xlsx, csv or txt file:

Importing from Genesis Food (EXL) or Genesis Supplements (EXLX):
This option imports all recipes/formulas and ingredients as supplement formulas and ingredients.
Search for the desired file where prompted. Duplicates will be overwritten unless the Skip Existing box is checked.Â
Reindex
Go to Datbase>Reindex to refresh the full-text search with data from the current database. This may be useful in a multi-user environment, where more than one user is adding ingredients or formulas to a common database at the same time. Clicking on Rebuild Indexes will update the searches to include database items added from other program users.
Statistics
Go to Datbase>Statistics to see a full count of all the Ingredients and Formulas stored in your database.
