What's new in 1.3

New Features Available in Genesis R&D Supplements 1.3

  • Tracking Chemical Impurities

Chemical Impurities are those components often found in commonly used materials but that are knows toxins for humans. Standards laid out in California Prop. 65 are the current recommended thresholds for these contaminants and these numbers are used to highlight those impurities that exceed threshold recommendations. Included in the database are: Lead, Cadmium, Mercury, Tungsten and Arsenic.

  • Added New Two-Column Label Template

This is used for certain packages and labels that need to accommodate a long list of ingredients.

  • Allow Selection of Unit for Cost Displayed on Formula Screen

Select which unit to calculate and display cost in.

  • Allow Nutrient Names to Wrap on Label

Some nutrient names are too long and need to wrap to the new line in order to fit on the label. With 1.3 they will now wrap automatically.

  • Allow Users to Add a Serving Size Descriptor and Edit Header for Label

Serving Size:

The label displays the serving size that was entered on the formula screen. You can modify what is shown by checking or unchecking the available options:
Include weight in serving size – Unchecking will hide weight (usually gram weight in parenthesis)
Include prepared serving size – If entered, this will appear on the label.
Include Servings Per Container – If entered, this will appear on the label.
Use abbreviated measure in Serving Size – Check this to show ea instead of each, etc.
Override the formula serving size – What automatically appears on the label is determined by what was entered on the Formula page. You can override any of those here.
NOTE: Changes made here will not affect the other label templates for the same formula.

Header:

Show amount in its own column – Unchecked will show amount next to the ingredient.
Show amount header in its own column – Unchecked will put header over ingredient column.
Use Amount Per Serving – Unchecked will show “Amount per Each”.
Amt. Column Justification - left, right, or center.
%DV Column Justification - left, right, or center.

NOTE: Changes made here will not affect the other label templates for the same formula.

  • Added Footnotes for the Linear Label

Show ‘Percent Daily Values are based on a 2000 calorie diet’ –Check this to show the footnote. Note: You will probably only use this on rare occasions.
Show ‘Daily Value not established †’ icon – Check this to show the icon with any associated nutrients and with the footnote.
Show ‘DV = Daily Value’ – Check to show that footnote.
NOTE: Changes made here

  • Export One Ingredient/Formula at a time

You can now export just one ingredient or formula at a time instead of just of all for sharing information with other users or technical support.
