(Options > Allergens)
The program is pre-populated with U.S. food allergens, which include the required species and varieties of general allergens like Fish, Shellfish and Tree Nuts. The pre-populated allergens are maintained by ESHA and cannot be edited or deleted.
Allergens are assigned to your ingredient or formula documents from the Allergens tab in the right-hand menu and can appear on your label and report.
This Allergens Options dialog is where you add allergens.
To add an Allergen
- Go to Options > Allergens
- Select the Add link at the top.
- Type in the name of the allergen and press Enter on your keyboard. When you next open this dialog, your user-added allergen will appear in this list in alphabetical order at the first level. To add an allergen to one of the existing allergen categories, select or expand that category before clicking Add.
To delete an Allergen
- Go to Options > Allergens
- Right-click on the user-added Allergen and select Delete.
To modify an Allergen
- Go to Options > Allergens
- Right-click on the user-added Allergen and select Modify.
