Ingredients

Ingredients are items that are part of the company inventory. They are added to formulas to create the product.

Components

A component is anything that goes into creating an ingredient, such as vitamin or mineral (active components) or water and ash and other compounds (inactive components). An ingredient may be composed of one or more than one component. Active components can appear in the body of the Supplement Facts panel.

Formula

A formula is a collection of the ingredients and/or subformulas, and their amounts used in creating the product. Ingredient components can also be specified when creating the formula. Adjusting a component will appropriately adjust the ingredient amount.

Product

The product is a finished formula, after the final processing.
