REX searches food labeling and packing regulatory documents, citations and guidance from the FDA, USDA, and CFR at one time. You can search documentation by keywords and refine your results by date range,, document type (draft guidance, petitions, etc.), category (allergens, labeling, etc.), and more.

This service requires a subscription. Once subscribed, you will use a unique Access Code to finish setting up your account credentials.  To inquire about a subscription, please Contact Sales. If you have subscribed and did not receive the Welcome to REX email, please check your Spam folder and/or Contact Support.

Accessing REX for the first time

  1. Contact ESHA to purchase a subscription. 

  2. Visit rex.esha.com.

  3. Click the I Have an Access Code link.
    NOTE: Redemption of the Access Code only needs to take place once.  After you've established your account, you can re-login to REX using your established username & password.

  4. Copy & paste the full Access Code from your email notification.

  5. Click ‘Validate’.

  6. Create your Account:

    • Take care to enter your email correctly.

    • Enter

    your access code.Create a user name and password. Use this name and password to access REX
    • a password of your choosing, and re-enter it in the Confirm box

  7. Click Create.
    NOTE: If you receive a warning message stating “Something went wrong…”, with a notification that “user name [your.email@domain.com] is already taken”, this is an indication that your email address is already in our system for other reasons, and the redemption of your Access Code for REX must be handled another way. Please see the Warning Message: user name is already taken page to redeem your Access Code.

  8. After acceptance of your username & password, you should be redirected to the REX homepage. Subsequent visits to REX can be done by logging with your credentials at rex.esha.com.
