Optional: Bilingual Label
Some Authorities allow for bilingual labels. The languages available are dependent upon the Authority you selected.
Check this box to show the nutrition data in two languages on your label and use the bilingual label layout.
Label Templates

The program will use the temple you selected to draw your label. In most cases, selecting Standard is the best option. However, depending on package size, labeling space and contents, you may be able to use Tabular or Linear. Click the Learn More link to help you decide which label to use.
Click the template. A blue check will indicate your selection.
When you have finished setting up your label, click Continue to Label
Select Recipes
Here is where you choose the Recipe you want to generate a Label for.
Type full or partial words into the search field
Press Enter on your keyboard.
From the search returns, check the one you wish to add
Click Apply & Next to go to the next option.
To select a different Recipe
click the X on the pill and perform the search again
Serving Options
...
Most labeling situations require the display of a household serving size and the number of servings per container.
Type the household serving size in the text field. It can be a combination of letters and numbers. Example: 1 cup.
Type the servings per container in the text field. It, too, can be a combination of letters and number. Examples: 4, About 6.
Click Apply & Next to go to the next option or Apply & Close to close this dialog.

SPECIAL CONSIDERATIONS If your product contains only one serving, you can hide the serving per container.
Recipe This first line shows the gram weight for the Recipe, either as calculated by the program or as entered by you. This will appear in parentheses on the label. There are special instances when you can hide the Recipe weight
If your product is a liquid product and you have entered a volume conversion, you will want to show the mL amount on your label.

Display Options

These options dictate how certain elements are displayed on the label. Note: These options are changing frequently as new regulations and label formatting options become available. The screenshot may not always accurately reflect the program.
Label Formatting
A Simplified label format may be used if 8 or more nutrients are present in your Recipe in insignificant amounts.

Vitamins and Minerals
Check Use all Abbreviations to display the shortest allowable, version of a nutrient or other label element.
Some examples:
Potass. for Potassium
Incl. for Includes
Vit. C for Vitamin C (ascorbic acid)
Footnotes
Select the radio button for your desired footnote.

Added Sugars Only
If your product is a single-ingredient sugar product, like honey or table sugar, you qualify for special formatting.

Voluntary Nutrients
Here is where you will find the available options for the individual voluntary nutrients you wish to display on your label.

Voluntary nutrients are just that, voluntary. Unless you are making any sort of related nutrient claim on your label. Example: “High in Vitamin C.” When you make a claim, you must display the nutrient on your label.
To display a nutrient
click the Show (eye) icon
To hide a nutrient
click the Show (eye) icon for a currently displayed nutrient
To access the options
use the arrow to expand the menu.

Click Apply & Close to close this dialog.
Approval and Download
When you have finished setting up your label exactly as you want it, you can choose to Approve your label and/or Download a printable or editable version.
Approving your label will keep this version from being edited. To edit this label, you can make any modifications and the program will automatically create a new version. You will always be able to return to the original approved version.
