After you have created the Recipe you will be using on this label, consider evaluating the Recipe’s nutrient analysis for accuracy. It’s easier to modify the Recipe now than the downloaded Label later.
Double-check that all of the Ingredients used in this Recipe are populated with the required label nutrients for your authority.
If laboratory analyses show strong differences in certain nutrients, you can modify those values in the ingredient.

Setup Details
Log in to Genesis Foods with your email and the password you received from your admin, if you have not already done so.
On the Dashboard, click New Label.
Type the name of your Recipe in the Name text field using the established naming best practices agreed on by your organization. The Name entry can accommodate letters and numbers.
Select the Authority, Regulation Year and Recommendation Profile
Authority
The Authority (this will be the name of a country or region) dictates the regulations for this Label. Available label templates and display options will change to accommodate the selected authority.
Select United States or European Union
Regulation Year
If you are creating your product during a compliance grace period, you may be able to use the older regulations. The most recent date will always represent the latest regulations. Available regulation years depend on the Authority selected and will only be available when appropriate.
Recommendation Profile
Depending on the Authority and Regulation Year you have selected, these will be some variations of Adult, Child, Infant, Pregnant/Lactating. Most often, Adult is the correct selection unless your product is specifically made for a child or an infant. Recommendation Profiles will dictate the daily value recommended intake percentages on your label.
From here, the labels you can create and how you can modify them vary widely based on the Authority you selected. See the following sections for more information:
