New Recipe

You can create a new Recipe from ingredients you entered and/or ingredients that already exist in the database. When you create a Recipe, the nutrient profile will be calculated from the ingredients.

Adding a Recipe works in much the same way as adding your intake.

  1. Name your Recipe and enter a serving size. You can also add preparation or other notes here.
  2. Click Save.
  3. Search for and enter ingredients from the database. When you have finished, clicked Save. You will now be able to use this Recipe in your Intake.

New Ingredient

  1. Type a name in the Name box.
  2. Enter the nutrient weight in grams.
  3. Enter a Serving Size
  4. Enter nutrients. You can enter as much or as little nutrient information as you wish from the items Nutrition Facts label or another source. It is certainly more helpful to enter as much as possible, but it is not necessary. Values are entered in one of two ways - either by typing in the numeric value or the %RDI value (ex: from a Nutrition Facts panel).
