Components

A component is anything that goes into creating an ingredient, such as vitamin or mineral (active components) or water and ash and other compounds (inactive components)Components and their amounts are the building blocks of ingredients, and will mostly be vitamins or minerals, some of which must appear on your Supplement Facts labels. Others are voluntary. Components also include water or ash (inactive) or chemical compounds, such as lead and arsenic. An ingredient may be composed of one or more than one component. Active components can appear in the body of the Supplement Facts panel. 

Ingredients

Ingredients are items that are part of the company inventory. They are added to formulas to create the product.

Components

Formula

A formula is a collection made up of the ingredients, and/or subformulas, and their amounts used in creating the product. Ingredient components can also be specified when creating the formula. Adjusting a component will appropriately adjust the ingredient amount.. This formula is what you will use to create your final product. Genesis R&D will use your formula to create the Supplement Facts label. 

Product

The product is a finished formula after final processing.
